INTRODUCTION: You have been uniquely designed my friend! You are unique!
Synonyms– Exceptional. Phenomenal. Abnormal. Rare. Extraordinaire. Peculiar.
Freak. One of a Kind!
You are uniquely designed because you have a Divine Designer!
You are not an accident. God has never had an accident!
You have a designer! That’s important to know! WHY?
To whomever or whatever you look as your Designer, is where ultimately you will look for your identity!
In the first movie of the “Rambo” series, Rambo, this Vietnam Veteran, is a wanderer. He ends in a town where he’s abused by a Local Sheriff and his deputies.
After Rambo escaped and fled to the mountains, he injured all the deputies when he could have killed them.
At one point in the movie the Local Sheriff says this, “Whatever possessed God in heaven to make a man like Rambo.”
Then enters Colonel Trautman the Officer who trained Rambo and this is was his reply to the Sheriff. “God didn’t make Rambo, I made him.”
And throughout the Rambo series, Rambo was a fighting machine. That was his identity.
On a serious note. 22 US Veterans a day commit suicide. Why? Some yes, PTSD. But others, they have no identity because they looked to the military for their identity.
You are uniquely designed because you have a Divine Designer!
Psalm 139:13-16-“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
DIVINE DESIGN- When you were created, God was there!
Don’t reject what you don’t understand! You can’t figure this out in your mind! If we could understand everything about God He wouldn’t be God.
With God’s DIVINE DESIGN is God’s PURPOSE!
Ephesians 2:10-“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”
When you have this moment you realize you were created with DIVINE DESIGN what follows is this moment you realize you have a DIVINE DESTINY!
You were created for something GREATER than just arriving safely at death!
Let’s look at an example in the Bible of a woman who was created with a DIVINE DESIGN FOR A DIVINE DESTINY
Luke 1:26-28 -“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!”
Don’t you know Mary had a moment where she KNEW she was created with a PURPOSE. She was created with a DIVINE DESIGN for a DIVINE DESTINY!
How can you KNOW you were created with a DIVINE DESIGN for a DIVINE DESTINY? I believe you need to have a
- Wow Moment
Don’t you know Mary had a WOW MOMENT! A moment when she had an encounter with a loving Heavenly Father and in that encounter it’s revealed, “MARY I CREATED YOU WITH A PURPOSE!”
Luke 1:46-48– “Oh, my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For He took notice of His lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed.”
Mary had a WOW MOMENT. She said, “God has taken notice of me. And He has such a plan for my life that generations to come will call me blessed.” A WOW MOMENT!
I pray that God gives every one of you, a WOW MOMENT.
An encounter with God when they discover that he created them with a DIVINE DESIGN FOR A DIVINE DESTINY!”
Some need to be reminded today that you have a divine destiny!
And after you have that WOW MOMENT you’re going to have to have a
- A Trust Moment
Luke 1:34-“Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”
In your WOW moment with God there will be a place of “how can this happen?”
It’s that moment that demands FAITH in God! That moment you have to TRUST HIM.
God I can’t see how this is going to happen BUT I TRUST YOU!
Hebrews 11:6– “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
Our WOW MOMENTS with God with always lead to TRUST MOMENTS!
Divinely Designed into your Divine destiny are moments you must have FAITH IN GOD! That’s just the way God works.
Do you really think Mary fully understood the encounter she just had with the angel of God? Absolutely not, she just had to TRUST GOD!
Wow moments lead to trust moments. But this third point is so important to you knowing and living out God’s purpose for your life. There has to be a
- Yes Moment
Luke 1:38 -“Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.”
Mary had a YES MOMENT! A moment of SURRENDER that lasted the rest of her life!
You can know God created you with a Divine Design for a Divine Purpose but you’ll never experience that Purpose until you say YES to God.
“God I surrender to your plan for my life!”
Mark 8:35– “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.”
Don’t you think Mary had to GIVE UP her life! She didn’t try and hang on to her life!
But don’t you know she found TRUE LIFE!
God I trust you with my life so I say YES TO YOUR PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE!
CONCLUSION: A WOW MOMENT with God. I’ve been DIVINELY DESIGNED FOR A DIVINE DESTINY.
Some of you need to revisit that wow moment!
I may not know fully what’s going on or understand it all but God I TRUST YOU! And because I trust You I say YES to your purpose for my life!
Heavenly Father I SURRENDER!
What is the Holy Spirit saying to you today?
